Recently, I was offered the men’s basketball assistant coaching job at the University of Southern California (USC). This is a dream job that has come true! I am so excited and blessed about the opportunity, but sadden that I have to close down Triple Threat Basketball program due to the conflicts with the position I hold. However, Coach David Hall will continue the tradition and will be serving you with your travel basketball, camps, and skills and drills needs. Hall comes with great experience, knowledge of the game and is well respected in the community. You might have seen Hall refereeing one of your kid's basketball games. Currently, Hall coaches at Temecula Valley HS and previously at Great Oak HS. Hall will be setting up the daily operations of his program and the name of his program is “Ephesians” and/or “Team Ephesians.” Coach Hall can be reached at 951.775.8935 e9athletics@gmail.com
It’s been a blessing and pleasure working with so many current and past outstanding student-athletes over the years. Triple Threat was established in 2007 from a bunch of elementary and middle school rec basketball players, who wanted to get better. Over the years, we were able to offer skills and drills workouts, camps, clinics, travel basketball practices, private lessons and mentoring to our student-athletes who wanted to develop and improve from our experienced coaches.
What we have discovered is that when boys and girls are active in sports, they are more likely to perform well in school and learn skills that will help them to be successful adults.
I am proud to say that today our organization served over 100 culturally diverse Southwest Riverside County California families. Since 2007, over 1,000 boys and girls have participated in our camps, clinics, and club team programs. Our student-athletes were given the opportunity of a lifetime to travel and participate in highly competitive national tournaments.
To balance their commitment to basketball, we have developed tutorial sessions to improve academic skills. Our teams volunteer in community service programs such as “No Bullying Allow Campaign.” We emphasize good school work and behavior, and every student-athlete must maintain a 3.0 GPA to be eligible to play. We want our kids to be successful and avoid negative influences. We want them to compete for their high school team, and earn athletic and academic college scholarships. I am so proud to say that we have helped over a dozen student-athletes reach their goal of earning an athletic basketball and/or academic scholarship over the years.
As you can see Triple Threat is my baby and I love what we were able to do over the past 11 years. It’s been a pleasure and I look forward to seeing you in the community. Thanks and Go Team Triple Threat!
