As an Orange County native, David, earned League MVP and 1st Team All-CIF honors while playing at Costa Mesa High School.
He was rewarded for his hard work, dedication, and talent by receiving full athletic scholarships to Cal State Los Angeles/Portland State. Unfortunately, his career collegiate career was cut short by injuries.
However, that didn't slow down his passion for the game.

He returned home to Orange County to coach at his alma mater Costa Mesa High School and Corona Del Mar High School.
Now having moved to Canyon Lake to start his family, he decided to start his own Basketball Academy (DC BASKETBALL ACADEMY) to help the Valley's youth reach new heights of the game. As a professional trainer, he has trained thousands of middle school and high school ballers as well as numerous NBA/Pro and International players. He recently participated in the NBA Draft Combine in Las Vegas, Nevada. David trains yearly at the BALLISLIFE JR. ALL-American Camp featuring the Top Middle School players in the Nation.

David has found success in his training techniques such as playing with pace, stressing the importance of change of direction, playing low and implementing game-like scenarios. He also focuses on instilling confidence and building physical/mental toughness. With his detail oriented training he has been very successful in the development of players ranging from youth to the NBA.
